The Largest Memorial Day Ceremony in Georgia – In 1997, twelve patriotic individuals came together to create a truly unique Memorial Day event; a non-political, non-commercial ceremony honoring veterans and the sacrifices they made in protecting our freedom.That first ceremony attracted approximately 1,800 individuals. From that humble beginning, came the Roswell Memorial Day Ceremony, an event which attracts approximately 6,000-7,000 people from throughout Georgia and the southeast.

Because of large crowds and the sudden noise from the 21-Gun Salute, this event is not suitable for pets.

In appreciation of our neighborhood police force, we at East 48th Street Market have designated May 20th through the 25th as Dunwoody Police Force Recognition Week.

During the week of May 20th through the 25th, 2013, we are cordially inviting all Dunwoody police personnel to visit our market between the hours of 10:00am until 7:00pm (Monday-Friday) and 10:00am – 6:00pm (Saturday) for a meal on us!

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Brooklyn presents MISSIONARY IN MANHATTAN, which they will be bringing to Atlanta for the final stop on a three-city tour on June 9, 2013 at 3pm at the MJCCA.

This production will mark MISSIONARY IN MANHATTAN’s sixth incarnation after successful runs in NYC and Philly. It’s a hilarious ukulele musical that lampoons the institution of marriage through the eyes of 3 sister wives on the hunt for their husband (who was last seen at the Clermont Lounge with his vocal coach named Gerard). As we travel from town to town producing the show, we taper it to be about the town where we’re performing. So, in this version of the show, the characters have been residing in the abandoned Blockbuster in Dunwoody, commuting to work via Marta at the Varsity–experiencing the finer things the town has to offer– as they search for the (more…)
