We have so many kids playing so many sports in our community! I’ll post about everything including but not limited to baseball, football, lacrosse, volleyball, tennis, golf, softball, swimming, basketball, hockey, track and field, cross country and more!~

Tween/Teen Yoga – Do yoga. Have fun!

Thursdays 430-530pm. 

5-Class Pass $50. Choose any 5 classes this summer.

June 6, 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25, August 1.

Boys/Girls ages 10-16 years. 

Taught in a lighthearted environment,  students will be encouraged to move with a greater sense of awareness and heightened focus. This class will empower tweens/teens with self-confidence and provide the tools necessary in coping with stress. Students will enhance physical performance needed in all sports, dance, and martial arts.  60 Minute class Class meets in the Aerobics Room at Dunwoody United Methodist Church.

Congratulations to the DHS Girls Track team: 2013 5A STATE Track and Field Champions

dhs track girlsIndividual state placers and champions:

  • Erin Berger 8th in the Pole Vault 8 feet 6 inches.
  • Asya Yavuncu placed 7th in the 400 Meter Dash.
  • Erika Banks 3rd in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 12.37 and 4th in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 25.03.
  • Alex Cameron is a State Champion in two events: both the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 5:01 and the 3200 Meter Run with a time of 11:10.
  • Molly Jackson is also a State Champion in two events: both the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 55.09 and the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:14.
  • 4 x 100 Relay Team :Erika Banks, Madison Beecher, Molly Jackson, and Asya Yavuncu finished 3rd in the 4 x 100 Relay with a time of 47.61.
  • 4 x 400 Relay Team Erika Banks, Monika Nwajei, Molly Jackson, and Asya Yavuncu are State Champions in the 4 x 400 Relay with a time of 3:49

in their events.

Registration Open for Marist Jr. War Eagles Flag Football

We have also opened up registration to new participants, so we encourage you to invite friends and classmates to register before teams fill up.

Dr. Erick Smith with Briggs Vision Group supports local Dunwoody baseball team

erick smith and dragons The Dunwoody Dragons 11u Travel Baseball team have a new sponsor for the 2013 season-Dr. Erick Smith with Briggs Vision Group in Dunwoody. 
Dr. Erick Smith  and Lisa performed eye screenings for the entire team.  David Julian, Matthew Houghton, Tyler Eith, and Walt Anders are shown presenting Dr. Smith with a gift from a recent tournament-The Grand Slam Tiger Rumble tournament championship trophy!  The tournament took place in Commerce, GA where the Dragons were 4-0 over the weekend and defeated the Hobgood Fury in the championship game.

This tournament has the top 5 players in the world.  The tournament has over 100 players from different countries…Definitely an inspiring event to watch.
