Dunwoody High School Announces Outstanding Senior Awards

The Dunwoody High School PTSO proudly announces our Senior Awards for Outstanding Senior (2) and Outstanding Citizenship (2).  Each will be recognized by the PTSO and awarded $1000 scholarship at the Honors Program on April 28, 2016.

OUTSTANDING SENIOR:

The Outstanding Senior Award is presented to students who have achieved outstanding academic success while also being highly involved in school clubs and sports, in the community as a volunteer, plus have some paid work experience. We used a numerical scoring system to distinguish 6 finalists from an amazing group of applicants.

The 6 finalists were interviewed by a panel of 3 judges from outside the school. The judges were astounded at how accomplished, poised and professional our finalists were.  They said the caliber of the all the finalists made their decision extremely difficult.

The PTSO proudly announces that Kyra Perry and Benjamin Zusmann are the 2015-2016 winners of the Outstanding Senior Awards.  Their remarkable academic, extracurricular, community and work achievements show they have earned this PTSO honor.

OUTSTANDING CITIZENSHIP:

The Outstanding Senior Citizenship Award focuses on a student’s contributions to their family, school, community and environment through volunteer efforts.  We had 5 interview finalists that all had very strong credentials and presented themselves so well in the interviews.  It made the judges’ decision very difficult.  We are so proud of the caliber of our students, and their accomplishments.  We are thankful to have such a great school and support of our valuable teachers, counselors, administration and staff.

The PTSO proudly announces that Sydney Holmes and Anna Dolder are the 2015-2016 winners of the Outstanding Senior Citizenship Awards.  Their extraordinary school, work, family and community achievements make them highly deserving of this PTSO honor.
