Lost Pet Blue Jay

Thank you so much for helping us in our attempt to rescue that very special, tamed and friendly blue jay!

Just to contact the neighbors by email asking if anybody might have seen a young Blue Jay hanging around. I was told by one of our Chesnut neighbors that she saw the bird – it flew right on the shoulder of another neighbor, one of our residents some three weeks ago. They did not know why she was so friendly and tried to get into their house.

Here’s the story. We rescued a fledgling Blue Jay – she was on the ground with no mamma bird in sight for a long time and would be picked up by a cat or a crow. We raised him for three weeks and then started to let him out little by little from our deck. Unfortunately we did not see the nest of Robins on the tree next to the house. The chick got atacked. So we took her back in and waited for another week and then let her out again – she was much stronger but still too young. That day she got viciously attacked and was chased away. We’ve been combing through the neighborhood and the area ever since. She answers to the call ‘Jay’ and is very friendly, tame and adorable. Maybe someone has rescued her or saw her and fed or even took her in.

We will pay a special prize for anybody who can help us to find her. Again it is a couple of months old Blue Jay, very tame and friendly. You can let our phone out: 678-777-1551 and our email of course.

Thank you very much,

Vlad and Natalya
