New Senior Minister for Dunwoody Methodist Church ~ Dan Brown

Excerpt from a letter sent to members of DUMC:

On behalf of your Staff-Parish Relations Committee, we are extremely pleased to announce that Bishop Mike Watson has appointed Dan Brown to be the new Senior Minister of Dunwoody United Methodist Church. For the last year, Dan has been the District Superintendent for the Atlanta-Roswell District of the North Georgia Conference, the largest District in Methodism.  Many of you have either met, heard or worked with Dan as he has occupied our pulpit, conducted a Charge Conference for our membership, and celebrated various functions with us in our Fellowship Hall during his brief time as District Superintendent.

The Staff-Parish Relations Committee was unanimous in its wholehearted support of Dan`s appointment to our church. We are extraordinarily blessed to have a person with his experiences as a Pastor and as a District Superintendent agree to be our new Senior Minister. It speaks very highly of Dan as the Bishop considered more than two dozen Methodist clergy throughout and beyond the North Georgia Conference. We will have much more to say about Dan in the coming weeks, but, for now, please join us as we celebrate and welcome Dan and his wife, Carol, to Dunwoody United Methodist Church.

Note from Audra:  No, this isn’t the same Dan Brown who wrote the Da Vinci Code  🙂
