Troy’s Burger Corner: Zinburger

Troy's burger corner

Wednesday a buddy and I went to Zinburger, a restaurant on the outside of Lenox Square. I didn’t find any articles or receive any recommendations on the place; I just remembered it was nearby to where we were lifeguard training and decided to give it a try. Although I don’t normally prefer chain restaurants, this place was pretty decent. I ordered the “ZinBurger”, while my buddy tried the “breakfast burger.” I had mine prepared “Kobe Style” topped with Manchego cheese, zinfandel braised onions, lettuce & mayo. This burger wasn’t amazing by any means, but it was pretty good. I would say the best part of it were the patty and buns. The buns were very crispy and didn’t fall apart, and the patty was fairly thick and had good flavor. The toppings weren’t bad, but nothing to write home about either. My friend also thought his burger was solid, but definitely not one of the best he’s had. The service was mediocre, as we had to wait quite a long time for our burgers and then our shakes. Regarding the shakes, they were amazing. I had the banana royale shake, with vanilla ice cream, banana, brown sugar saramel, Ghirardelli chocolate, fresh whipped cream, peanuts & a cherry on top. They were pricey, but the size of the shake and the taste definitely made them worth the 6$. Overall: Decent burgers, amazing shakes.
