Village Burger: Now Serving Breakfast!

Julie Gonzalo loves the morning mealtime and being one of the owners of Village Burger has helped her turn a dream into reality!   She wants her restaurant to be a morning gathering place for the people of Dunwoody.    Burgers for breakfast?  No way Jose….they have french toast, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, omelettes, breakfast burritos and some of the best biscuits I’ve ever put in my mouth!

Julie invited me and “The Burger Boy” to breakfast yesterday.  He was busy but his younger brother jumped at the chance to take his place!  We were greeted by our dear friend Elizabeth Julian who is one of a few of Julie’s friends helping out at the counter for breakfast.  The menu is simple, affordable and delicious!

The pancakes have the famous Village Burger custard as a key ingredient.  Walt said he could smell AND taste the yummy custard in every bite!   The french toast is made from the same big Texas style bread that VB uses for sandwiches.  The southern style biscuits are divine!  When discussing what we liked best we had a hard time deciding because everything we tried was delicious!   Pictures are worth more than my words so check out all the items we tried in the photo array below!

Currently Village Burger is serving breakfast from 7-9:30 Tuesdays through Fridays but beginning in August they’ll also be open Saturday mornings.   And for that matter, someone has already asked Julie to open up for a morning Bible study on Mondays so maybe Mondays are in the future too?   I have a feeling Village Burger will soon take the place of The Old Hickory House for morning breakfast meetings in Dunwoody!
