TRAVEL TUESDAY ON THURSDAY: Holiday Gift Ideas for Those Longing to Travel

by Danielle Garrett of PlanIt Itineraries for The Aha! Connection

The travel road ahead of us for 2021 is certainly a mystery!  There are many changes on the horizon regarding the vaccine, international travel, and the general landscape of travel.  In the meantime, we can be dreaming, reading, researching, and even planning for future travel.  Below are a few holiday gift ideas for all those that have an abundance of wanderlust and nowhere to go (yet!).  Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

Hard-Case Carry-On Luggage

Costco’s Ricardo Big Sur

I transitioned to a hard case several years ago and will never go back.  It does not look like you should be able to fit as much compared to a soft case, but you can!  Make sure to get one with 4 spinner wheels!  Pushing a 4 wheeled bag is much easier than pulling a 2 wheeled bag.  There are several options.  Costco has a budget friendly option (The Ricardo Big Sur) that includes a USB port and a packing cube at $59.99.  I have not tried this bag myself, but it is a good deal at $59.99 with a USB Port (and Costco allows you to return anything of poor quality).  Ebags is another great on-line company that has many hard-case options and Away luggage is very popular!

Calpak Luggage Tag/Portable Charger

Oh Joy! Portable Charger

This is pretty cool, a great stocking stuffer and on sale!  It is on my Christmas list!!

Foldable Travel Bag

I have recommended this to many people and bought several myself.  My college son uses it for weekend trips, but my favorite part is that it folds up to nothing.  This is the perfect solution to those that love to shop on vacation or always seem to come home with more.
