Back(pack) to the Future: Donate Fully Stocked Backpack via Malachi’s Storehouse

Food Pantry at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church Holds Annual Backpack Drive

Atlanta, July 24, 2020 – “Even though the pandemic is creating major challenges, we have to continue to look forward and prepare for the future,” says Judi Carlson, Director of Malachi’s Storehouse, an outreach ministry of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church dedicated to addressing food insecurity in metro Atlanta. “Our kids are our future – and especially this year, we want to support Malachi’s students with a new backpack full of fresh school supplies!”

For more than 15 years, Malachi’s Storehouse has held an annual backpack drive. This year, rather than accepting physical supplies such as pens, notebooks and glue sticks, Malachi’s Storehouse is asking for financial donations through Malachi’s website.

Just $25 will allow us to purchase one fully stocked backpack so our Malachi’s students can work successfully from home and will be prepared when schools open again,” notes Carlson. Our goal is to raise enough money by August 3 to distribute 1,000 backpacks this year!”
