Book Giveaway: 3 Books by Local Authors—3 Winners!

by Audra H. Anders for The Aha! Connection

Everyone knows I LOVE books. I’m not necessarily a messy person but I do have stacks of books in various locations throughout my house. I decided to do a little cleaning last week and found these three books by local authors that were meant for giveaways but got lost in a pile!

Just comment on our website, Instagram or Facebook with which book you’d like and we’ll randomly choose a winner for each book on Friday!

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. –Jesus
Just imagine what our world would look like if we loved everyone just like Jesus! Did you know the Bible is filled with all sorts of people: from stinky fishermen to little children to people who looked the same and people who didn’t? There were people who made good choices and bad ones, were happy or sad, and everything in between. Yet, Jesus was sent to love them all!
Jesus tells us in the Bible to love others how He loves us. (And guess what? He loves everybody!)
With colorful illustrations, fun prose, and surprises on every page, children will start seeing people through the beautiful lens of God, worthy of being loved, because… Jesus loves everybody!
When Cassidy Maxwell turns sixteen, she believes she is on the precipice of freedom, first love, and teenage escapades. Unbeknownst to the Maxwell family, a simmering inferno is beginning to boil, threatening the entire town of Franklin and all they hold dear. As Cassidy envisions her newfound liberation allowing her to break free from the intense but smothering love of her mother, a tie that will bind them together forever is being sinisterly woven. When a school shooter enters the safe and predictable world of North Franklin High School, all the security Cassidy knows is unraveled in a moment. She faces a decision that will have her choosing between her heart’s desire and one true love, and risking it all to protect all she’s ever known. Cassidy and all those trapped inside North Franklin High School with their captor must call on their own wits, courage, and even sacrificial love. As Cassidy gains an unexpected ally, she will make a choice that leaves not only the Maxwell family but the entire Franklin community reeling.
“This is an incredible story!”–Steve Harvey
Each of us is living a story–the story of our life. For Sam Collier, his story started with rejection, because when he and his twin sister were born, their biological mother gave them up for adoption. Through the many obstacles and challenges throughout Sam’s life, God would prove to him that in spite of the opposition, he was truly writing a story Sam could never have written in his own strength.
In this deeply personal yet remarkably universal book, Sam Collier tells his inspiring story of abandonment, sacrifice, gratitude, and rescue, revealing how God is always doing something bigger and better than we might imagine. That he has a purpose and a plan for every single one of us. That he is always telling his greater story through our trials, our relationships, and our triumphs.
If you’re in the middle of a challenging time and long to know that God is working through it, Sam’s story will teach you how to see the big picture, even when there are pieces missing.

  1. I have taken in a Homeless person into a rental and have been encouraging, guiding, helping, teaching, and would like this book to rad and to give him for inspiration. I have a motto in life: when you think your life is tough, just look around you at the mountains others are climbing, and your problems are not so great.

  2. The Greater Story seems like such a beautiful story that I would like to read and then pay it forward to others to read

  3. We have just celebrated Jesus’ birthday. I would be pleased to receive “Jesus Loves Everybody”.
