Brookhaven voters approve $40 million parks bond

Brookhaven’s $40 million parks bond appears to have been approved by voters with 60 percent of the vote, according to unofficial results from DeKalb County Registration & Elections. With 12 of 12 precincts reporting, the “yes” votes tallied in at 12,352 and the “no” votes came in at 40 8,258 votes. Total votes cast came in at 20,610. … Read More »

Short-term home rentals may be restricted in Brookhaven zoning code

The city of Brookhaven may restrict Airbnb and similar short-term home rental services in its new zoning code.

A proposed draft of the city’s zoning ordinance rewrite bans short-term rentals in residential neighborhoods and only allows them through a special land use permit process in multifamily residential properties, in certain areas of the Peachtree Overlay and the proposed new mixed-use districts.… Read More »

How one (Dunwoody) man went from burger connoisseur to burger maker

Billy Kramer estimates he tried more than 500 different burgers across the country while traveling for his job as a sales executive.
