39 Books Recommended by AHA Subscribers ~ One Book Recommended MULTIPLE times!

by Audra H. Anders for The Aha! Connection

We gave away four books last week in exchange for 39 amazing suggestions from our subscribers!   We had a few authors listed more than once (Emily St John Mandel 2, Jean Hanff Gorelitz 2, Kate Quinn 3, Lisa Jewell 2, and Marie Benedict 2). But, only one book recommended multiple times……The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave…so I downloaded it immediately!     … Read More »

Peggy and Audra Visit CrossFit Dunwoody

by Audra H. Anders for The Aha! Connection

I first visited CrossFit Dunwoody in April of 2019.  Much has changed since then.  First, the owner, Glenn, has gotten a haircut, a wife, and will become a father in October!  Probably more noticeable are their new digs…. CrossFit Dunwoody vacated their space in the Dunwoody Village shopping center now occupied by Village Threads and moved about 100 yards away into the out-parcel that used to be Jiffy Lube. … Read More »

Audra and Peggy’s Visit to CycleBar

by Audra H. Anders for The Aha! Connection

Something I have never said before:  “Be back in an hour I’m going to spin class!”  Well, that is until last week.  CycleBar Dunwoody invited Peggy and me to try a class.  We were both worried we might die but sort of talked each other into it. … Read More »

Audra & Peggy Visited Lift Yoga and LOVED it!

by Audra H. Anders for The Aha! Connection

Most people do not realize that I worked for AT&T for 15 years.   For several years I worked at AT&T’s Atlanta HQ building at 1200 Peachtree Street in Midtown.   My office was on the 11th out of 12 floors and our fitness center was one flight up on the 12th floor.  … Read More »

Audra’s Fitness Blog: Zooming for Exercise (Video)

by Audra H Anders for The Aha! Connection

I’ve never “Zoomed” until this week.   Now I’ve Zoomed at least 6 times and have several more appointments on my calendar for next week.  I kinda like it and plan to continue to incorporate Zoom into my post-pandemic plans.   When my Fitness Together trainer dudes offered to train me via Zoom, I was very skeptical.  … Read More »

Audra’s Fitness Blog ~ Fitness Together

by Audra H. Anders for The Aha! Connection

So….Beth chose her newborn grandson over me and I had to find somewhere else to work out.   Seriously, he’s way cuter than me so I totally understand.  Thankfully my friends Karen Cannon and Christine Taylor talked to the owner of Fitness Together and had the owner, Russ Yeager, reach out to me about giving them a try.… Read More »

Audra’s Fitness Blog: There aren’t many things for which I’d get up before 6 AM!

What would get me up before 6 AM?  The first thing that comes to mind is:  catching a flight to a tropical beach.   I’m not sure there’s much else for which I’d willingly get up that early.

When I told my friend Libba I’d work out with her at 6 AM at Dunwoody Baptist one morning I should have remembered that it is extremely difficult for me to get myself anywhere that early. … Read More »

Audra’s Fitness Blog: I tried Orangetheory Fitness and didn’t die!

by Audra Anders for The Aha! Connection

My workout partner, Beth, is on a 10 day vacation and reminded me before she boarded an airplane that I needed to plan a different workout strategy while she’s gone, so that I don’t lose my fitness momentum.   I’ve been talking to several “fit friends” about their fave gyms and am on a quest to try them all!  … Read More »

Audra’s Fitness Blog: Deskercise

I sit at my desk a lot.  My neck hates me for it.  My hubby is constantly reminding me to get up and move around to protect my back and neck.  He’s right.  I have no trouble focusing on work so could literally sit in the same position at my desk for hours on end…except for it kills my neck.… Read More »
