City Springs Theatre Company Weekly Theatre Classes Open for Enrollment

The City Springs Theatre Conservatory, the educational division of The City Springs Theatre Company, is offering weekly technique classes for students ages 6-18 years of age to increase their training in musical theatre.  Starting Jan. 23, the six-week sessions of weekly classes for young performers ranging from beginner to advanced levels, feature seasoned performers from the Atlanta area. Classes include: Acting Techniques, Musical Theatre for Beginners, Musical Theatre Jazz and Musical Theatre Tap. Each six-week session is $200, and for those enrolling in 2 or more, sessions are $150 each. Classes take place at the City Springs Theatre Company Studios at 8601 Dunwoody Place Suite 136, Sandy Springs, GA 30350.

 

Teaching Musical Theatre for Beginners is Lindsay Rae Pawlewicz, who received her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from The University of Oklahoma. Currently teaching Musical Theatre at Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, she has performed with City Springs Theatre Company in Mamma Mia! and Into the Woods.

 

Liz LeGrande will be teaching both Musical Theatre Jazz and Tap. As a dancer, choreographer, & movement coach, she has collaborated with artists, including Katy Perry, Ye, Beyonce, Usher, Thomas Rhett, Christina Aguilera, Robin Thicke, Saweetie, Iggy Azalea, Ty Dolla Sign, Chayanna & Ciara. Her work has taken her to a wide variety of outlets, including films & television shows such as Glee, Dancing With The Stars, Bunheads, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Shake It Up, America’s Best Dance Crew, Empire, Step Up Highwater, Joyride, Genius, Dear Eleanor & Behind The Candelabra.

 

The instructor for Acting Techniques, Joe Veale is a New York City and Atlanta based actor and co-founder of Nerve Project Theatre Company, a performance company dedicated to awakening bravery through evocative theatrical experiences. His recent Off Broadway credits include; Enter Laughing, Panama Hattie, Great Expectations, and The Wrong Box.  He was also in the Pre-Broadway Production of The Rivals. He has worked extensively regionally as a member of the Resident Acting Company at the Historic Barter Theatre. Fav regional credits include: Peter and The Starcatcher, Altar Boys, 42nd Street, Mamma Mia, Footloose, and The Three Musketeers. Veale was a part of Season 3 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, as well as Amazon Prime films Nocturne and Turn Back Night. Joe received a B.F.A. in Theatre Arts with concentrations in Musical Theatre and Professional Acting from East Carolina University.
