DUNWOODY NATURE CENTER NAMES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

DUNWOODY, Georgia – The Dunwoody Nature Center has selected Nancy Longacre, an experienced nonprofit leader, as their new Executive Director. “We were committed to selecting the perfect candidate for the Nature Center,” states Jany Brown, Board President. “Nancy’s leadership skills in the nonprofit sector, combined with her passion for our cause, make her the perfect person to lead the Dunwoody Nature Center into the future and help it achieve its mission of inspiring a love of nature and cultivating environmental understanding.”

Longacre was attracted to the Dunwoody Nature Center due to its natural beauty, community involvement, and potential for growth. “The Dunwoody Nature Center is a gem of an institution, and I look forward to protecting it for years to come,” she asserts. “It truly is a beloved community asset in so many ways – and it is an honor to serve.”

Longacre previously held leadership roles at The Anti-Cruelty Society, PAWS Atlanta, and Georgia Center for Nonprofits. In her spare time, Nancy enjoys hiking, traveling, and being in nature, making the Dunwoody Nature Center a ‘natural’ fit. Coming up, Longacre is preparing for the Nature Center’s premier fundraising event, Monarchs & Margaritas, on September 18, 2021. More information can be found at dunwoodynature.org.
