Dunwoody Nature Center Tree Climb Adventure – Sat. October 26th

DNC Banner Oct. 2013

Bring the whole family and enjoy a beautiful fall day in Dunwoody Park.  Take a walk on our nature trails, visit some of our fall craft tables, participate in one of our scavenger hunts, bring your own pumpkin for carving (carving tools provided by the Nature Center) and decorating, get your face painted, and then pack a picnic dinner and join us for our final concert of the fall. Or just come and enjoy the beauty of the park in the fall – find our GeoCaches, hang out in the treehouse, or dip your toes in Wildcat Creek. All of the day’s activities in the park are free (concert is extra for non-members, free for members) and open to everyone during the day of our Tree Climb Adventure.

Join Peter “Treeman” Jenkins and his team from Tree Climbers International at the Nature Center to learn the “ropes” of tree climbing.  Join the founders of the sport of tree climbing in two of our majestic oaks that date back to the beginning days of Dunwoody. Tree climbs (must be at least 6 years old) are $20 for members and $25 for non-members and other guests and include free admission to our concert later that night (starting at 5:00). Climbing times are available on the hour for a maximum of 15 guests at the same time – perfect for your scout troop, a bunch of neighborhood friends, or an awesome family adventure. Climb reservation times can be made in advance online using this form.  Timed Reservations will be taken until Tuesday, October 22nd and then by calling the program office at (770) 394-3322.
