Dunwoody Police offering free Fraud Prevention Seminar for the community

Dunwoody Police Department will be offering a free fraud prevention seminar on Thursday, February 20, 2020. There has certainly been a significant spike in telephone and email scams in recent years. The scammers can be hard to stop since many are overseas and use untraceable phone numbers. The best way to avoid falling for scams is to become educated on the tactics.

Presentation topics will include information on the most recent scams going around and what red flags to watch out for; the definition of identity theft; what actions citizens can take to prevent from becoming a victim and what to do in the event that someone does become the victim of identity theft. This seminar is FREE and open to the public but seating is limited and registration is required.
