Dunwoody Preservation Trust announces Apple Cider Days – a Saturday of fun on the farm

The directors of the Dunwoody Preservation Trust (DPT) wish to invite the entire community to celebrate the fall season at Apple Cider Days– a series of fun and educational events the weekend of November 9th and 10th.

Saturday November 9th Fun On The 1870 Donaldson-Bannister Farm

 “HistoryAlive” Acquaint yourself with Dunwoody’s founding families; their foundations and focus, 9:30 am-11:00 am. Cost is $3.00 for DPT members and $5.00 for non-DPT members.

“Fun On The Donaldson-Bannister Farm” Activities for the entire family including local musical performances, free petting zoo and face painting, children’s pioneer crafts and games along with a pioneer outdoor cooking and apple cider press demonstration, a display of vintage farm tools and home goods, an all things apple booth, Dunwoody Fine Arts plein air painters, artisans, Chick-fil-A and Moondog Growlers for purchase. 11:00 am-4:00 pm.

“Sunset Serenade Benefit” BYO Everything and picnic under the stars with music by moonlight featuring local bands at Dunwooy’s own Chastain Park experience. Reservations only to appleciderdays@dunwoodypt.org for a table and (6) chairs for $50 and all proceeds go to assist Dunwoody school music programs.

About DPT: Founded in 1995, the Dunwoody Preservation Trust is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to the preservation of the history and heritage of the Dunwoody community. A volunteer non-profit organization, the DPT owns and manages the circa 1906 Cheek-Spruill House, Dunwoody’s signature building at the corner of Mt. Vernon and Chamblee Dunwoody roads.
