Chapelhill Church and Dunwoody Baptist Church are partnering up again with Cross-Cultural Ministries to serve families in the Chamblee/Doraville community who have been impacted financially from COVID-19 job loss or drastic cutbacks on hours at work. Our goal is to bless these families with 200 backpacks filled with school supplies for kids going back to school this fall. CCM has provided specific school supplies needed, and church members from both congregations are signing up and shopping for supplies to fill backpacks now!

Would you like to help? Church members are working to buy the supplies needed, and we’re inviting people in the community to provide the backpacks! Just purchase a new backpack or two or donate a gently used one (no rips/tears/stains or broken zippers please) and we’ll fill it up and deliver it safely to the families.

How do you drop off a backpack? Chapelhill Church is hosting a drive-through drop off event for all backpacks on Saturday, June 27th, from 9 am-12 pm. Just swing through the drop-off line with your backpack, and that’s it! If you can’t come in person, feel free to purchase online and ship your backpack directly to Chapelhill. We’ll make sure your bag gets filled and gifted to a child (please double-check that shipping will arrive before June 27th).

Chapelhill Church is located at 5067 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd. Please feel free to spread the word and email us with questions if you have any at holmes.sc74@gmail.com
