It’s CREEPY CRAWLY DAY!
Saturday, March 2nd Dunwoody Library
A fun filled and educational day of activities for the whole family
The day starts at 10:15 AM with story time for young children. From 10:30 to 12:30 there will be multiple activities in the Williams Room including a visit from the University of Georgia Insect Zoo, a demonstration beehive with related displays and the opportunity to acquire local honey, a display of insect-eating plants from the Dunwoody Garden Club, and from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, a display starring a live critter.
Also, from 10:30 to 12:30, a giant balloon spider poses in the Spruill Lobby for photos with brave visitors. In the hallway, there will be an opportunity to bid on valuable items in a silent auction and in the atrium, there will be creepy crawly souvenirs for all and theme-related refreshments.
At 1:00 PM, Linda May from the Wildlife Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, will present Georgia’s Fabulous Frogs, a talk on these amazing amphibians and how to recognize them by sight and sound.
This We Love the Library Day celebration is presented by the Friends of the Dunwoody Library and it’s all free!
