Join us as we celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Donaldson-Bannister Farm

In or around 1870, William James Donaldson and his family built a house on a farm at what is now the corner of Chamblee Dunwoody and Vermack roads in the heart of present-day Dunwoody. Owned by the City of Dunwoody and managed by the Dunwoody Preservation Trust (DPT), the property is now listed on the Register of Historic Places as the Donaldson-Bannister Farm and has been a public park and private event venue since opening to the public in 2018. In honor of the farm’s 150th anniversary, the DPT is celebrating the Sesquicentennial in 2020 with a year of events honoring the history of the farm and the families who lived there and kept it going.

Join us at the Kickoff Champagne Concert and let the melodies and bubbly flow.  The event will be held in the rehabilitated farmhouse on Sunday, Jan. 26th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and will feature champagne and anniversary cake with classical music performances by Harpist Angi Bemiss, Violinist Alison James and Voice Soloist Chloe Robertson.

Admission is by ticket only, limited to 50 guests. Price is $25 for DPT members, $35 for non-members. Reservations can be made starting January 3rd at https://dunwoodypreservationtrust.org/sesquicentennial. All proceeds will go to support the Donaldson-Bannister Farm.

The Dunwoody-Bannister Farm is located at 4831 Chamblee Dunwoody Road in Dunwoody.
