Description

Join the Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber, in collaboration with the UGA SBDC in DeKalb, for this third workshop in our SBDC educational series, on May 15 at 10 am at SharedSpace Dunwoody.

Social Media is a powerful tool for small businesses to find new customers and retain existing customers, if used properly. It’s a great resource to connect with your customer base on a daily basis, survey them for feedback, tell your brand story, build a community, and generate leads. During this course, you’ll learn how to develop a strategy that will help you drive sales, attract new customers, and build a loyal online community

Presented by Jewel Hazelton, M.S. IMC, a senior-level communications professional with over 10 years of experience in social media, content marketing, PR, and journalism. Jewel has a proven track record in developing successful integrated marketing campaigns and helping brands through digital transformation.
She has secured media placements on top broadcast outlets throughout the country and in national and regional consumer and trade media publications. She has delivered successful social media campaigns for organizations through content creation, paid and organic search, digital advertising, influencer relations, brand strategy, and engagement. Jewel was also recently named to the 2019 PRSA Georgia inaugural “40 under 40” list.

Jewel earned a master’s degree in Integrated Marketing from West Virginia University’s and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama. In her free time, she enjoys giving back to the community she grew up in. For the past five years, she has been an active member of the Junior League of Atlanta serving on several executive committees. She is also a graduate of the spring 2018 class of United Way of Greater Atlanta’s VIP board readiness program. She recently was appointed board member for the March of Dimes Greater Atlanta Young Professionals Board.

This event is produced in partnership between the DeKalb SBDC and Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber.
