The 2018 American Craft Show in Atlanta

The American Craft Show returns March 16-18, 2018, to Cobb Galleria Centre, where more than 230 of the country’s top contemporary craft artists will present their latest handmade creations in jewelry, clothing, furniture, and home décor. The show runs for three days, with a special $5 ticket price Friday evening after 5 p.m. Show-goers will enjoy the return of Make Room: Modern Design Meets Craft, Hip Pop, Let’s Make programs and Style Slam.

Hip Pop is an emerging artists program that highlights talented artists who are new to the show scene. Participating artists are selected through a jurying process and grouped into shared booths. This community-based structure provides a supportive atmosphere for the best and brightest emerging talents to interact with each other — as well as seasoned artists and show-goers — all while having the chance to show off their work and skills.

Let’s Make is an initiative that connects craftsmanship to craft by honing in on the actual process of making and what it takes to produce the beautiful work at the show. During the show, a variety of artisans will provide interactive demonstrations at “Inspiration Stations,” where children and adult show-goers will have the chance to participate in the actual process of creating a piece of artwork with Atlanta artisans and arts organizations.

Style Slam pairs professional fashion stylists with ACC’s talented network of fashion wearables, accessory, and jewelry artists to demonstrate how the statement pieces ACC is known for are the perfect fit for any fashion-conscious wardrobe.

Make Room: Modern Design Meets Craft returns for its sixth year, with this year’s theme being “Color Story.” This home décor exhibition, which puts craft into context by featuring craft-inspired room vignettes created by designers, will feature pieces that center around a favorite color or group of colors that make a cohesive design statement.
