Intown Stars undergoes a $4 Million Renovation; Moves to a 75,000 square-foot facility

“Intown Stars is the foundation of our family; it has grown and expanded through the years with my boys. It is an integral part of our lives,” explains Intown Stars Owner and CEO, Anna Santiago.

Anna is an intrepid entrepreneur and self-starter with over 25 years of experience in executive level management and leadership development. She is a visionary leader who built and runs one of the largest gymnastics centers in the southeast, with 65 employees and over 1,700 children coming through a week.

Intown Stars in currently undergoing a $4 million renovation and is moving to a 75,000 square-foot facility, expanding to offer dance, indoor court & field sports, a cafe, and more.

Intown Stars was conceived in 2012, when Anna’s sons, Roman (14) and Gabriel (12), were just babies. They have grown up in the gym and are now high-level gymnasts themselves.

Since then, Intown Stars (formerly Intown Stars Gymnastics) was able to focus on building the core gymnastics classes and team. They also started a men’s gymnastics team, a parkour program, and an after-school program. By 2018, Anna expanded the space to include a 5,000-square foot mezzanine spanning the length of the building, to allow for more office space, parent observation, and an expansion of their preschool programming.

On August 8, 2022, Intown Stars will open its new doors at 421 Dekalb Industrial Way, Atlanta’s first and only multi-sport facility inside the perimeter.

It will become the space for Atlanta’s sports lovers of all ages to play, train, compete, discover, and be uplifted. Anna’s vision is to have a welcoming, clean, stylish space with good vibes and great people.

The first phase of the two-part renovation project will be completed in August 2022, the second phase in January 2023

They will provide classes, camps, after-school care, special events, indoor turf, court, and batting cage rentals for all ages. Studio rentals, corporate events, adult sports leagues, and community events will also be offered for adults. A roller-skating rink is the latest addition to the lineup of offerings Intown will provide.

“This exciting new expansion will be done in two phases,” explains Anna. “Half of the 75,000 square-foot building (the south side of the building) will open in August 2022 for gymnastics, parkour, camps, parties, and our newest program, Intown Stars Dance. The outdoor field will also be open for beach volleyball, soccer, sports camps and field day activities.”

The second phase—the north side of the building—will be open in January 2023, and will feature a stylish parent observation lounge, batting cages, turf fields, and professional court flooring for multi-sport classes, activities and rentals. There will also be a strength and conditioning center, café, and retail area.

Anna is confident that Intown Stars will keep growing as a leader in youth sports for Atlanta.
