Move Review: Me Before You

There are only a few authors that grab my attention so much that I repeatedly pick up their books and wait anxiously for their next release.  Jo Jo Moyes is one of those authors.  Me Before You is a book that I recommend often.  Actually, when someone asks me for a good book to read it is usually one of the first that I suggest.  Me Before You earned one of my rare 5/5 ratings on Goodreads.

My book club friends and I have pondered the release of the well publicized movie adaptation.   We worried about the casting….Louisa and Will are beautifully written characters….could anyone play them well on screen?  Can anyone capture Lou’s adorable quirky personality and will they include a scene about the bumble bee tights?   Can anyone portray Will’s angst properly and make him lovable and understandable?

Well – in my opinion the answer to all of those questions is a resounding – YES!

Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin were PERFECT.  I fell in love with this story all over again and wouldn’t have changed a thing.  Go see this movie…but bring your Kleenex!
