New exhibit opening at the Spruill Gallery

Pomp and Circumstance Opens January 28

New exhibit opening at the Spruill Gallery, presented by Northside Hospital, offers recent Master of Fine Arts (MFA) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) graduates from area universities an opportunity to present their work, in public, after pandemic shuts down spring thesis shows.

ATLANTA, GA – January 11, 2021:

The Spruill Gallery is pleased to announce its first exhibit for the New Year, Pomp and Circumstance, presented by Northside Hospital, January 28 – May 8, 2021.

This exhibition features both 2-D and 3-D works of art from recent university graduates who were unable to showcase their pieces during the closure of their schools in 2020.

“We are excited to be able to provide a platform for this next generation of artists,” said Spruill Gallery Director, Jennifer Price. “It is important that they have the opportunity to express their work, since they were unable to do so during their normal spring semester. Our exhibit will offer these talented artists visibility and opportunity for entry into careers in the art world.”

Pomp and Circumstance will display works from Georgia State University graduates, Andres Palacio and RJ Sturgess, Kennesaw State University graduate, Alyssa Smith, and University of Georgia graduates, Yana Bondar, Cristina Echezaretta, and Alec Kaus.

The opening reception for Pomp and Circumstance is Thursday, January 28, 5-8pm. Space is limited to 20 guests per hour and guests must reserve a time slot. Visit spruillarts.org/gallery to learn more.

The Spruill Gallery is located at 4681 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, GA 30338.
