Adorn your mailbox with a red and black bow to honor Stevie D. Gebhardt’s Memory

Stevie D. and Katherine Gebhardt

Update:  Monday, 1/31/22

From Stevie D’s Mom:  “So many have asked about donations in lieu of flowers. What better gift can Stevie D pass along than the gift of eternal salvation. We are establishing a Young Life scholarship in the name of “Stevie D Gebhardt Memorial” to sponsor local teens to attend faith-based retreats and camps. Stevie D made many memories at Young Life and we want to provide others with the same experience. If you are so inclined, donations can be made through this link:
younglife.org/giving or contact Allison McCarthy Witt at perimeternorthyounglife@gmail.com”

Stevie D. is no longer with us on earth.  Please join me and countless others in the community in honoring his memory by placing a red and black bow on your mailbox.  A close friend has already adorned the Gebhardt mailbox.  Funeral will be Monday, January 31st at 1:00 PM at Dunwoody Baptist Church with a reception following, also at the church.

Original Post:

I’ve known this young man and his family for years and adore them.   I’ve been praying off and on for over 24 hours for them and will continue to do so.  The family just asked me to share a note from Stevie D’s Aunt asking the entire community to pray for this young man from Dunwoody.   He’s a Dunwoody High Graduate from the class of 2016.

Whether you know him or not, I ask that if you pray….please pray for him.

Forwarded Message from Stevie D’s Aunt, Mary Lee Hardy:

These two….I love them like my very own and you all know what my sister Cindy means to me. I know that most of you know about sweet Stevie D and what is going on with him. He is on life support and currently they are using cooling therapy to help his body heal. The next 24 hours will be important. As I find out more news I will let you all know. We all feel your prayers and the very real presence of God, He is holding us all. Know that we could not do this without each of you standing in the gap for us.

Please say an extra prayer for sweet Kat, she loves her brother so much.

“But this I call to mind, and there fore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end: they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness”

Lamentations 3:21-23

I love you all more than you will ever know and could not walk this road without your love and support.

Thank you

Mary Lee
