Recent highlights from Lunch with Lauren: Brussels Sprouts, Crab Cakes, Carl the Snowman and More!

Excerpts from our Lunch with Lauren Facebook Group:

Brussels Sprouts

I love Brussels sprouts! So much. These are cooked the regular way, cut in half and seared until tender. THIS time, I mixed up a tablespoon of miso paste, a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of vinegar. Once the sprouts were done, I tossed the mix in the pan to add flavor and more caramelization. All four of is loved it, even my Brussels sprout snob.

So, you may not keep miso paste, for some reason. You could head to the grocery store and to the Asian food section. If you can find an instant miso soup mix (especially with the paste) then you’re all good. If it’s the powder, you’ll have to reconstitute it with water or oil.

Carl the Snowman

We got a Kate Weiser Chocolate Carl the Snowman as a gift, and boy was it. He melts into the most delicious, like, next level hot chocolate.

Crab Cakes and Key Lime Pie

Everyone knows McKendrick’s Steak House has great steaks, but did you know they have the BEST crabcakes?! To. Die. For. Perfect lunch portion but I still made room to stuff in this key lime pie.
