Restaurant Reviews: Black Walnut Cafe, Fogo de Chao, and Peachtree Cafe

  • Black Walnut Cafe in Peachtree Corners –  My family dined here for Easter brunch and loved it.  It was shockingly affordable.   They save money by a “fast casual” ordering approach.  I recommend getting your menu, choosing a table, sitting down to review the menu (it’s expansive and you’ll want time to look it over), then send a person from your group up to the counter to order for the table.  The eggs Benedict and also the gluten free pancakes were to die for!  We will be back often.
  • Fogo de Chao in Dunwoody– Foodie Patty and I dined here for lunch on Tuesday!  She’ll provide a full review soon but I wanted to go ahead and tell you something you probably don’t know…they have AWESOME Happy Hour specials and a fabulous outdoor patio!  Happy Hour is Monday-Friday from 4:30-6:30 PM and the prices for their small plates range from $4-$15.  Also, if you’ve been wanting to try Fogo de Chao’s Full Churrasco Experience, keep in mind that the experience and quantities of food never changes but the price varies based on when you go.  (Weekday lunch = $34.95, Weekend lunch= $38.95, Nightly Dinner = $48.95 & Children 7 to 12 are half price!)
  • Peachtree Cafe in Peachtree Corners – When I discovered this restaurant on Sunday I was so in hopes that it would be like the old Peachtree Cafe on East Paces Ferry that I LOVED.  Sadly, not even close.   The location is great…not far from my home.  The service wasn’t so great and the food was pretty good.  They serve breakfast all day and are known for good burgers.  I’ll take Burger Boy back there and give it another try.
