Rezoning request would add 55 townhomes in Dunwoody (behind Georgetown Waffle House)

Some of the Dunwoody City Council’s concerns with a request by Minerva USA, LLC, to rezone and change zoning conditions on the western side of Chamblee Dunwoody Road involve calculating density and providing green space.

The property, consisting of 5.73 acres of land at 4330 Georgetown Square, is currently zoned for offices, but Minerva wants the city to amend the site plan to allow for multi-dwelling residences.

Construction of 55 three-story townhomes would replace the five two-story, brick office buildings and surface parking lot currently there. Multi-family apartments would not be permitted, Community Development Director Steve Foote said, adding that staff’s recommendation on first read is to approve the change, with a number of conditions.  Read the rest of the story at The Dunwoody Reporter.
