Style Moment: Nail Polish Colors for Fall!

AHA_StyleMoment_Logo-01Looks like the weather is finally gonna snap and it will be late fall, heading into the holidays and we want to have our nail polish choices ready!!!!!  I have been testing all fall and really had a hard time narrowing it down and figuring out what was going on in NYC, London and LA, but I am ready to share my thoughts.

Dark polish is still really hot and it is fun to try new colors.  “After School Boy Blazer, by Essie is my fall fave by far.  It has a hint of navy blue, but goes great with everything and has that trendy, edgy feel we want.  You can wear it every day and it is also great for a nighttime dressy affair.

My favorite holiday color is “Harlem Silks from Bombay” by Deborah Lippman.  This is a very royal purple color that when paired with a shiny top coat is slightly glittery.  However, it goes on matte and if you put a matte top coat on, it stays matte, which is very cutting edge.  The matte nail is taking off in Europe right now and is slowly making a presence in the US.  Either way you wear it, it is your “go to” party polish!

I have an oldie but goodie for the holidays as well……Malaga Wine by OPI.  This is a classic, elegant wine color.  It is beautiful at the office and goes into the weekend with ease…love, love, love.

I am also really into the Jenna Hipp Collection at CostcoJenna Hipp is the “Celebrity Green Nail Stylist”.  After working in the beauty industry with celebrities on movie and television sets she became passionate about creating healthy nail polish after becoming sick on set because of the nail polish fumes.  Her products boast the “Five Free” formula which contain no Dibutyl Phthalate, no Formaldehyde Resin, no Formaldehyde, no Toluene and no Camphor.  Her products can be found at Costco in a box with several colors that she uses on her celebrity clients for only $14.99.  Great deal.  All the colors are really fun, but “Throwing Shade” and “All About You” are standouts. Who knew you could even go green when it came to nail polish?????

Jenna Hipp also has a line of hand creams (also at Costco) that are so moisturizing, non-greasy and also “Five Free”.  The adorable tube really brightens up the bottom of your handbag! They come in a set of 3 and make a great hostess gift or a “thank you” or a little pick me up for a friend that is feeling down.

Ready, set, go get your nails done!

  3. Love this brand and my teen daughter does too…it is so environmentally friendly which is a plus….would love to surprise my daughter with this nail polish.

  4. I love Jenna Hipp nail polishes. The colors are beautiful and last without chipping for a long time. I would like to try her hand cream as I have never seen it before.
