Troy’s Burger Corner: Marlow’s Tavern

I brought a friend with me to Marlow’s Tavern in Dunwoody earlier this week. This summer they have been featuring a seasonal “burgers and brew” menu, so I thought I would head over and check it out. When looking at their regular menu, I noticed they had added a new burger titled the Marlow’s Melt. Instead of getting something off the seasonal menu, I decided to try the melt.… Read More »

Troy’s Burger Corner: Bones

This last week my family and I dined at Bones Restaurant in Buckhead.  It was a very special treat for my birthday.   In addition to being world reknown for their steaks, their “Bones

burger” was ranked the number 1 burger in the city by Atlanta Magazine in 2015. This burger did not disappoint. No odd toppings were included, just your typical lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise-and a really well prepared and cooked burger.… Read More »

Troy’s Burger Corner: Stockyard Burgers and Bones

This past weekend my mother and I went to Stockyard Burgers and Bones in Vinings. They just opened this second location in the Vinings Jubilee Shopping Center.   The service was very slow so it may be a good idea to wait a few weeks until they work out some of the kinks.

All the burgers are made with fresh Certified Angus Beef, cooked “Pink or No Pink” and served on a toasted brioche bun. … Read More »

Troy’s Burger Corner: Zinburger

Wednesday a buddy and I went to Zinburger, a restaurant on the outside of Lenox Square. I didn’t find any articles or receive any recommendations on the place; I just remembered it was nearby to where we were lifeguard training and decided to give it a try. Although I don’t normally prefer chain restaurants, this place was pretty decent.… Read More »

Troy’s Burger Corner: The Counter – Custom Built Burgers

This past weekend I went to “The Counter” in Roswell with a friend. Uniquely known for their build your own burger write-on menus, this place definitely caught my eye. Troy’s Burger Corner: Illegal Food – Virginia Highlands

Last week I decided to check out Illegal Food, home of the #1 rated burger in Atlanta by Zagat. Although this place had plenty of tasty looking burger options, I came for the headliner: The Hank. This burger is made from house ground dry-age grass-fed beef, American cheese, crisp shredded iceberg, sweet vidalia onion, house made dill pickle, and special sauce.… Read More »

Troy’s Burger Corner: Seven Lamps – Buckhead

Last Friday I went to Seven Lamps restaurant in Buckhead to try their “50/50 burger.”  While searching the internet for a new burger to try, this one caught my eye. Interestingly enough, this one isn’t even on the menu.   I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous while ordering, but luckily the waiter didn’t act surprised at all at my “off menu” request.… Read More »

Troy’s Burger Corner: Strip Steaks and Sushi

This past week I had lunch at Strip Steaks and Sushi in Atlantic Station. Knowing it was a steak restaurant, I figured they probably had a good hamburger. This turned out to be true, and I really enjoyed it. None of the toppings were out of the ordinary, but the patty was thick and tasty. Also served on the side was a vinegary steak sauce, which was really tasty for dipping.… Read More »

Treehouse Restaurant & Pub

This past week my family ate at The Treehouse Restaurant & Pub in Buckhead. Being an old favorite from their younger years, my parents thought it would be cool to take my brother and me to experience the Treehouse. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and my parents loved chatting about fun old times. I had the bison sliders with Manchego cheese and smoked onion aioli and they were delicious.… Read More »

Troy’s Burger Corner: The Shake Shack

My parents visited NYC last year and came back home raving about The Shake Shack in Manhattan. Therefore, I had high expectations when setting out with a friend to check out the new Shake Shack in Buckhead.  We both ordered the Smoke Shack burger with cheese, cherry peppers, all natural Applewood smoked bacon, and “ShackSauce” (a slightly spicy, sweet and sour blend of mayo, ketchup, mustard and spices).… Read More »

My Dad studied Yelp reviews for restaurants nearby, leading us to our decision to eat at Four Winds in Cusseta GA, home of the Ranger Burger. Four Winds is just down the road from Ft.Read More »

Troy’s Burger Corner: The Coffee Crusted Burger at Ten Bistro
