The Opelika Bow Fairy comes to Dunwoody

by Audra H Anders for The Aha! Connection

I am from Opelika, AL and I love my hometown. In fact, I love it so much I created The Aha! Connection, in order to help Dunwoody feel more connected like a small town. There is a special friend in Opelika who is sometimes known as “the bow fairy”. She delivers mailbox bows to friends with high school graduates created in their school colors. I love seeing mutual friends post their bows on Facebook but alas, I live in Dunwoody so knew my boys would never get a bow from the Opelika bow fairy. I. WAS. WRONG. My very sweet and special friend, Kate Asbury Larkin, AKA the bow fairy…also the gal behind “grammar lessons with Kate” sent my graduate a bow and an amazing poem! Y’all may think I’m silly but I just think this was so special and sweet.

  1. This made me smile – how wonderful for you and your graduate that you could enjoy this tradition which brings fond memories of your hometown!
