Travel Tuesday with Danielle: Laguna Beach, CA: A top destination for your future travel list

by Danielle Garrett of PlanIt Itineraries for The Aha! Connection

Many people have a bucket travel list and I bet if you did not have one before Covid-19, you do now!  I love to share about some of my favorite destinations, so today I hope to inspire your travel dreams and add to your list!

Even though California is once again struggling with brutal fires, they will come out of this on the other side and remain one of our most beautiful states.  The diverse scenery and enjoyable climate in California are beyond compare.  It is a year-round destination that offers so much natural beauty packed into one state!

LAGUNA BEACH is in the small city of Laguna Niguel, Orange County, along coastal Southern California (located roughly between LA and San Diego, less than 1.5 hours apart).  The temperature is pleasant year-round with only 5 months out of the year receiving rainfall more than 1 inch.  This artsy, surf town offers dramatic cliffs, 30 coves, interesting tide pools and 8 miles of beautiful coastline.  Outdoor activities abound with water-sports including snorkeling, surfing, and paddle boarding or 20,000 acres of wilderness for the hikers and bikers.  This beach town offers plenty of shopping with an artist community dating back to the early 20th century.  Foodies will not be disappointed in the restaurant options, from charming cafes to fine dining (many with ocean views).

There are a variety of accommodation types in Laguna but are especially great if looking for a luxurious treat!  A stunning Ritz Carlton is set on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  If the Ritz is not your choice, no worries!  There are plenty of other accommodation choices to meet every style and budget!  Laguna Beach, CA offers something for everyone!!
