I recently had the adventure of taking my family of four to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament for the first time. Located in the Sugarloaf Mills Mall, it took us about 25 minutes to get there on a Saturday afternoon from Dunwoody. Parking is free and easy and the entrance is easy to find.
We had the Royalty Package (an additional $12 per ticket) which got us into the VIP entrance line though the regular line was short and moving quickly as well. Once inside, we received our colored hats to indicate our cheering section and had a few moments to browse the lobby decorated like a castle interior complete with a full cash bar and every souvenir you could ever want (the light up swords were a huge hit with my kids ages 4 and 7!). Doors opened promptly for the show and we were escorted to the front row of our section (another perk of the Royalty Package). For the next two hours, we dined on a rustic meal with our hands (that’s right – no utensils!), and thoroughly enjoyed the incredible horses, intense jousting, and colorful entertainment right in front of us.
My kids had a blast, cheered the whole time and were sufficiently exhausted by bedtime so I highly recommend Medieval Times for a fun and unique family outing!
Visit Medieval Times in March or April for an evening of action-packed Spring Break fun! The following discounted tickets are being offered for Aha! subscribers: Adults $37.95, Kids & Students $29.95 with code SB17BLOG. Click here to purchase your tickets today!
