I-285 and Ga 400 Interchange Improvements (positive impact on Dunwoody Traffic?)

From Dunwoody City Councilman Terry Nall’s latest update:

A large contributor to the heavy traffic of Dunwoody is from drivers connecting to/from I-285 and Ga 400 through Dunwoody in an effort to avoid the I-285 and Ga 400 interchange.  The governor supports a major overhaul of the interchange, which hopefully will have a positive impact on Dunwoody.

Georgia DOT is hosting three Open Houses for citizens input:

August 19, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
August 21, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
August 21, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m

All three meetings will be held at Dunwoody Baptist Church (gymnasium), located at 1445 Mt. Vernon Road.

Around August 15, the project display/layout (along with the handouts and project description) that will be presented to the public will be available on GDOT’s Public Outreach website, which can be accessed at: http://www.dot.ga.gov/Projects/Pages/PublicOutreach.aspx (then select the project by name or by county using the drop-down menu bar).
