About The Aha! Connection

I’m Audra Hurston Anders and I originally created the Aha! Connection to keep my Dunwoody friends connected and to pass out free movie tickets.  I started out slowly building an email “list” of friends and acquaintances met in and around Dunwoody. I work full time at The Aha! Connection from my home office and stay very active with my boys and their sports, church, and school events.   I’m from a small town and have the desire to foster a similar “small town feel” in our suburban community within metro Atlanta.  In 2010, my Aha! Connection expanded from an email list to include a website.  Since the inception of the website, the subscriber list has multiplied ten-fold and advertising requests continue to skyrocket.  In order to better serve subscribers and sponsors, an Aha! Connection FaceBook and Twitter feed were added in late 2011.  In 2013 Instagram was our newest social media addition.  In 2014 we launched a brand new fantastically designed website that allows our sponsors to shine while providing a much more user-friendly and organized interface for our subscribers. In 2017 we started a partnership column with PlanIt Itineraries (Travel Talk) which grew into a weekly column in 2020.  In 2018 we added two popular columns; Ask Tatiana and Lunch with Lauren.  The Aha! Connection currently has over 15,000 combined subscribers for email, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

With the help of all my friends and neighbors we can keep improving the connection to benefit us all!

Thanks to my friends who encouraged me to branch out a little….to Kathy Gruenhut for an awesome logo… to Dick Raney for an awesome website…..to Peggy Smith for agreeing to work with me and to my family for putting up with me spending time at my computer all the time…and most of all to my wonderful husband, Kirk….who gave me a last name that makes my initials so catchy!
