Now in their 37th season, the Atlanta Dance Theatre is proud to present the holiday performance of The Nutcracker at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center on December 7th, 8th and 9th.
This classic ballet is set to timeless compositions by Tchaikovsky combined with original choreography by the artistic director, Shelley Grames, who gives a modern twist to this traditional ballet.
Go back in time to a festive Christmas Eve party at the Stahlbaum’s home under their fabulous Christmas tree. Clara receives a beautiful Nutcracker from her Uncle Drosselmeyer. But when the clock strikes midnight strange things happen. Clara and her Nutcracker Prince battle the Rat Queen, travel through the magical snow forest and enjoy the amazing, confectionary celebration with the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Land of Sweets. Is it magic or all just a dream?
