Atlanta ponying up for Chattahoochee River trail

The city of Atlanta would contribute $100,000 toward a $1.5 million trail that would run along the Chattahoochee River for 100 miles under an ordinance introduced by Councilman Dustin Hillis.

The Chattahoochee River Greenway would extend from Lake Lanier to Chattahoochee Bend State Park. The stretch inside Atlanta would run from Marietta Boulevard to Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway and include a pedestrian bridge across the river connecting to the Cobb County segment of the trail. continue at the Atlanta Business Chronicle
