Backpack Drive at Dunwoody High School – The Backpack Project

DONATE USED BACKPACKS TO DUNWOODY HIGH SCHOOL SGA!

What: Dunwoody High School’s SGA is hosting a backpack drive throughout March 22, 2016. If you have any old, used, or unwanted backpacks lying around your house, don’t hesitate to donate them!

How: To drop off back packs, please come to Dunwoody High School and place your backpacks in the red bins that are located in the front lobby!

More info: Dunwoody High School’s SGA is currently working with The Backpack Project for a Spring Service Project. The Backpack Project, founded by current sophomore at UGA, Zach Leitz, is a non-profit organization that works to obtain backpacks from charity and fill each one with 40 items; these products range from HBA’s and small clothing accessories, all the way to simple food items. Once each backpack is filled, the staff of The Backpack Project does a face-to-face, mass distribution of stuffed backpacks to the homeless on the streets of Athens and Atlanta.
