Boys Golf Heads to State

The Dunwoody Wildcats had a big day in Villa Rica, GA.  The boys were able to place in the Sectionals State Qualifier at Mirror Lake Golf & Country Club where they shot their best team score in over five years (310).

Braeden Rice led the way with a stellar round of 73 (1 over par), with Bradley Stone and Caden Smith adding their best rounds of 78 each. Jackson Madden finished out the team’s scoring with an 81. The team was able to beat Woodward Academy in dramatic fashion on the very last hole of the competition and will now head to State Finals in Jekyll Island.

Even though the girls team placed 6th and didn’t qualify, Amelia Mutert was able to qualify as an individual from a non-qualifying team. This means Amelia will join the boys down in Jekyll Island.  It truly was a great day to be a Wildcat.
