Van Pappas of oXYGen Financial will host the 5th Annual Chamblee Shred-a-Thon, a free shredding event for the community, on Tuesday, April 25th. A shredding truck from local Chamblee business I-Shred, will be made available from 11 – 2pm.
“To protect against identity theft, the FCC recommends shredding receipts, bank statements, expired tax documents, old utility bills, credit card statements and offers, and medical records,” Pappas said in a release. “Even old veterinary records can be used to gain information to access personal information.”
The event will be held in the parking lot at Chamblee Plaza on Peachtree Blvd.
