DHS Freshmen Bridge and Registration Information

Freshman Bridge
Friday, July 31, 2015 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Our incoming freshmen (from Peachtree Middle School or pre-registered students) will participate in several activities throughout the course of the day. STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT REGISTERED CANNOT PARTICIPATE. This year, we will provide the freshmen with a brief introduction of the courses they will take in the various content areas.

8:00 – 8:30
Administrative Welcome (Students) – Auditorium

8:00 – 10:00
Parent Info Session – Cafeteria
Parents must bring a photo ID along with proof of residency: current lease/mortgage or a current utility bill (electric, gas, or water bill). Phone or cable bills are not acceptable proofs. Driver’s license also cannot be used as proof.
Parents can also buy a lock, spirit wear, pay PTSO dues, etc. Student schedules will be given once process is completed.

Student Breakout Sessions

11:30 – 12:00
Assistant Principal Information (students) – Auditorium

12:00 – 12:30
Lunch (students) – Cafeteria

12:35 – 2:00
Spirit Video / High School 101 / Wildcat Cheer / Check out sports and club opportunities – Auditorium

Parents return to pick up students from Auditorium Lobby

Registration Day

Thursday, August 6

·       Rising 9th grade students from PCMS: 2:00-4:00 PM
·       Returning 10th grade students: 2:00-4:00 PM
·       Returning 11th and 12th grade students: 4:30-6:30 PM
Registration begins in the Cafeteria.

Students New to DeKalb County School District

Students who are new to DeKalb County School District will register on Thursday, August 6, 8:00 AM -12:00 PM and 2:00-4:00 PM in the Media Center.

These students may also register by appointment only on Wednesday, August 5, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM and 2:00-4:00 PM; as well as Friday, August 7, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM.
