Ryan Carroll won the gold medal at the first fencing tournament of the season for the Georgia High School Fencing League that was held on Saturday, September 6 at Roswell High School. All 16 teams sent experience men and women to fence. Out of 103 men, Brandon O’Day finished 46th. Kylie Fuller finished 26th in the women’s event scoring points for the women’s team. Based on the points scored at the tournament, DHS is in 4th place in the men’s team standings and in 11th place for the women. DHS has a home tournament on Saturday, September 27.
