DHS Widcat’fe needs your donations!

Have you heard of the famous DHS Wildcat’fe? We were featured on the NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams a few years back. The Wildcat’fe is a coffee shop run by the students with special needs. The Wildcat’fe opens each Tuesday morning to serve breakfast treats to peers and staff. Workers are proud to serve products that they have helped to prepare. They are also learning important job skills such as working as part of a team, staying focused, and giving good customer service.

We are seeking donations from the DHS community to help us to cut back on overheard. If we spend less on supplies, we will be able to do more fun stuff like order new Special Olympics shirts, go bowling, and complete our gardening projects. Here is a list of items we use every week:

Sam’s Club / Costco: double chocolate muffins ( 9 dozen ), blueberry muffins ( 6 dozen ), banana nut muffins ( 3 dozen ), chocolate chunk cookies ( 10 boxes ) brownie bites ( 2 packages ) 12 oz. coffee cups / lids, 16 oz. plastic cups/ lids, ground coffee, individual creamers, napkins, orange juice, apple juice.

Kroger / Publix: mini marshmallows ( 10 oz bags ), Rice Krispies, Krusteaz cinnamon crumb cake mix, Hersheys chocolate syrup, graham cracker crumbs, margarine.
