Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Soccer Team, they beat Etowah 1-0 in the 1st round of the GHSA 7A State Playoffs! This competitive and exciting game took overtime to decide. That’s where Ella Ryan’s corner kick was headed in by Julia Gild for the only goal of the game. The wildcats played tough team defense all night in front of goalkeeper Ella Holland as they earned their 11th clean sheet of the season.
The Wildcats, ranked #4 in the state by the AJC, hosted #7 ranked Hillgrove in the 2nd round of the state playoffs on, Monday, April 18 and WON! Now they are headed to the Elite 8!
Wins by Ginny Duffy, Mei Stallard, Celia Carter, Hannah Price, and Ella Thomas. A huge shoutout to Ella Thomas who dug deep in a grueling three hour, three set match to cinch the win for the Lady Tennis Cats! On to State!!
The Boys Lacrosse team looks to close out the season strong and win their 3rd straight home game on Wednesday, April 20th. JV game starts at 5:30 and Varsity will follow at 7:30. Come out and cheer on our seniors in their last home game!

Varsity Boys Tennis- Region Champs and Going to State
Congratulations to the DHS Varsity Boys tennis team on their incredible run this season! The team went UNDEFEATED in the 7A region with 5-0 scores over 5 of the 6 region opponents. This past Tuesday, the boys defeated Norcross in the region finals and were named the 7A region champions! The team now moves on to the state playoffs starting next week. Congratulations to all the players and a special shoutout to all the seniors who played in this week’s senior night match against Marist.
Congratulations to our gymnastics team for placing 3rd at the DCSD County meet on Tuesday. Tabitha Johnson won an individual medal for 2nd on Vault.
We also honored our Senior Hailey Bayer before her final performance as a Wildcat. Good Luck on your new adventures, Hailey.
On Tuesday, April 12th, the Dunwoody Girl’s Golf team snagged 2nd place in the Dekalb County tournament. Captain Laruen Garber, and three freshman varsity players, Madeline Vicine, Amelia Mutert, and Cora Webster all made the cut to play a full 18, while Amelia grabbed 4th place overall and Cora got 2nd place overall. So very proud of these Wildcat Athletes!
DHS Baseball Senior Night will be on Friday, April 22nd…the last home game of the regular season!

After receiving multiple basketball as well as academic scholarship offers Jordan Strozier Bowden will attend Spring Hill College in Alabama with a full scholarship to continue her basketball and academic career.
She will pursue a degree in communications with a concentration in digital video production.
After serving as the editor-in-chief of the Dunwoody literary magazine in addition to serving 3 years in the Dunwoody mass communications program, her dream is to become a television producer or a movie director.
