The Running Wildcats ran to victory at the 7AAAAAAA Region Championships. Varsity Girls won 1st place led by Claire Shelton (3rd), Maggie Coxen (5th), Kate Bacon (6th),Lucy Neumann (9th), Ronnie Amrani (11th), Emma Parker, & Jenna McJunkin. Varsity Boys won 3rd led by Ethan Archibald (4th), Mark Westrick (10th), Wade Parkes (13th), Jacob Eissenmesser, Richard Remigailo, Jude Wright, & Jaxon Jester.
JV Girls won 1st led by Olivia Bacon (1st), Colleen Murphy (2nd), Mary McLoughlin (4th), Clara Green (7th), Casey Willard (8th), & Caitlyn Etheridge (13th). JV Boys won 2nd led by Ryan Altera (7th), Lucas Boden (9th), Julian Sutin (10th), Ezra Mahle (16th), Oliver Abbott, Ameer Salim, Caleb Mahle, Christopher Parker, Jackson Bacon, Kevin Westrick, Robert Patrick, Kelvin Rudnicki, & Luke Steele.
For the first time in over five years, both the girls and boys teams went on to compete at the GHSA State Meet in Carrollton. The girls team placed 9th in the State and the boys team placed 20th out of 32 teams! Way to go Wildcats!
