I do not recommend Coach Allison. We took my daughter to lessons with her, and after she had an incident on day 2, she avoided getting in the water at Allison's house (however, she's been to the pool three times with us over the course of these lessons and jumps right in). While my child stood at the edge of the pool biting her nails on days 2-5 of lessons, Coach Allison said nothing and waited for the session to end so she could move onto the next child. I'd really appreciate if she offered some coaching/ advice or tried to talk to my daughter rather than sitting silent. My impression is that considers her job a task to make money, not a passion to help children learn. She seems like she probably has a good technique for teaching, but unfortunately, she won't work with kids who get nervous.

we did not have a positive experience. my boy has a processing disorder and Allison was not patient with him. we wanted him to just learn basic survival skills and she was not able to make this a fun, positive experience. we were able to take my boy to a pool with his dad and within 5 minutes, he was able to swim on his own. i'm sure she is competent in teaching swimming skills, but for someone who does not know how to swim and may be afraid of the water, I would recommend looking for someone else.
