Dunwoody High School Record Growth Means New Opportunities, Challenges

Under the leadership of Principal Tom McFerrin, Dunwoody High School is seeing record growth — and with that comes both new opportunities and challenges.

McFerrin stopped by the Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce’s recent “Lunch and Learn” event to speak about what is coming up in the year ahead and some of the school’s achievements and ongoing challenges.

The school is expected to have around 1,950 students for the 2017-2018 school year, up from about 1,800 last year. That will include roughly 600 new ninth graders — the largest incoming class since the 1970s, McFerrin said.  Continue reading at MDJ Online
