A Dunwoody mom has taken her love for tea and created a new website as a guide for finding the best sips in the Metro Atlanta area.
Destination Tea’s most recent addition includes a new teatime directory which can be accessed at www.destinationtea.com. “Now friends, women’s groups, party hosts and families will be able to find a nearby venue for their next afternoon tea by availing themselves of Destination Tea’s comprehensive listing,” said Angela Renals, who founded the website.
“In a world where busy has become the standard, the tradition of afternoon tea with friends and family allows one to step out of time for a moment. You enter a beautiful or whimsical setting, you reconnect, you relax, you enjoy a scrumptious repast,” said Renals. “We want to help everyone find their favorite afternoon tea venues by doing the research for them. Destination Tea discovers the where, when and what of local teatimes and presents it in map and sortable list format.”
Renals said she discovered the custom years ago as a young mother who wanted to spend time with friends in a relaxing atmosphere. “I loved the ritual, from the leisurely social time to delicious savories, sweets and teas, all in a lovely setting. When I found it necessary to call around to discover teatimes, I decided to compile and launch an online afternoon tea directory. I have started with Metro Atlanta and plan to expand outwards, to Georgia and neighboring states,” she said. Continue reading at the DeKalb Neighbor
