Dunwoody Resident attained Distinguished Toastmasters

Longtime Dunwoody resident Marcia Williams achieves Toastmasters highest award, Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) after 20 years of membership, having given 50+ speeches, organized/sponsored clubs, organized Youth Leadership at Dunwoody High school, served in a various District leadership capacity and currently serves as Vice President of Education for Rising Phoenix Toastmasters Club.

Marcia will be honored during the Georgia District 44 Toastmasters annual conference on May 4th

“Though the Toastmasters program, I have acquired the following skills-Leadership, managing others, communication, time & project management, collaboration, and conflict resolution. Further, I currently serve as a Senior Consultant for Legacy College Planning, providing college planning workshops, serves as Keynote speaker and Masters of Ceremonies for various organizations

Williams is passionate about helping others and has served the Dunwoody schools as a parent volunteer and most recently partnered with Steve Fortenberry to incorporate the Toastmasters Youth Leadership program in the Finance academy curriculum. She is especially dedicated to assisting club members to grow through Toastmasters to become better communicators and leaders and so doing is able to achieve their personal and professional goals.
